Dynasol Group is a global business committed to the production and development of synthetic emulsion and solution polymers

Dynasol’s synthetic emulsion and solution polymers are used in applications such as rubber, asphalt modification, adhesives, sealants, polymer modification and in thermoplastic compounds.

Their emulsion polymers are manufactured under the trade names Emulprene™ (SBR) and Paracril™ (NBR) and their solution polymers are manufactured under the trade names Solprene™ (SSBR and SBS) and Calprene™ (SBS and SEBS).

Where can these synthetic polymers be used?

The main markets for Emulsion linear, non-crosslinked polymers in are tires, tire re-tread, automotive, seal, under carpet, FDA seals, conveyor belt, chewing gum, hose, rolls, insulate, plastic, friction, technical articles, adhesives, shoes, moulded parts, mats, O-ring, paper and textile coating.

The Solution SSBR polymers come with a tapered block monomer configuration, linear structure and very narrow molecular weight. The SEBS hydrogenated block copolymers present a fully saturated structure whereas the SBS block copolymers present different structures, linear, radial and multi-arm. These polymers are used across several industries in asphalt modification, adhesives, seals, polymer modification, thermoplastic compounds, shoes soles and industrial vulcanized articles.

Product trade names and descriptions

The below descriptions provide a general insight into our product range on offer from Dynasol.

There may be a few exceptions where unique products don’t conform to the standard nomenclature, for accurate product information, please search for corresponding technical data sheets via our product finder.

  • SBR Emulprene™

Styrene-butadiene copolymers are available as cold polymerized, hot polymerized, oil extended, high styrene masterbatch and crosslinked. Cold polymerized SBR can be used in the manufacture of footwear soles, hoses, conveyor belts whereas hot polymerized SBR is used in adhesives, sealants and friction applications.

  • NBR Paracril™

Acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer are available as cold polymerized, hot polymerized, oil extended and crosslinked. Additional special grades include low residue, fast curing and ozone resistant. These synthetic rubbers are used in industrial rubber goods, printing rollers, adhesives, mats and flooring.

  • SSBR Solprene™

Solution partially blocked SBR, these styrene-butadiene and styrene/polystyrene-butadiene grades are used in footwear applications, vulcanized compounds, tires, polymer modification, compounding and asphalt modification

  • SBS Solprene™ and SBS Calprene™

Solution styrene-butadiene block copolymers are available with radial, linear or multi-arm structures used across a variety of applications such as solvent based adhesives, hot melt adhesives, pressure sensitive adhesives, adhesive labels, asphalt modification, footwear, polymer modification and compounding

  • SEBS Calprene™

Solution styrene-butadiene hydrogenated block copolymers are linear styrene grades available for use in polymer modification and sealants
